I have this phone 6 months, stuck in a 18 month contract with Three, this has been the worst phone I have ever had, I get cut off in the middle of conversations, I get connection problems when trying to make calls, the phone resets from time to time, the battery life what a joke, charging this phone every day, if I don't use the phone, can get about 2/2.5 days out of it in stand-bye, send a couple of texts, possibly 2 short calls and needs charging. Yes its a very stylish phone, looks great, but for a day-to-day phone, not worth the frustration, stay clear.

Not at all what I would expect from a Nokia!

I got a Nokia 6500 slide as a company mobile phone. Well at first I thought I like this, feels quote heavy for a slide phone, very sturdy and so easy to use as are most Nokias. Well then things started to happen. I kept losing my wallpaper, the ring tones kept reverting back to the factory setting (nokia tune - ugh), screen saver would not stay on.... basically it was purchased from Link telecom, and they said it was a software fault. They have already replaced the phone twice. They say they are unable to offer a replacement phone unless it happens three times.... Here hoping it happens again.... By the way, there are two of us at work with this phone, we have both had it replaced twice. Don't be rooled by the fact that it is a Nokia. It is really anoying when you have to keep copying your contacts to your sim when you change the phone. OK if you have all numbers in separately, but god a total pain if you have one name and three numbers and its saved on your phone - you know what I mean. Don't get one, you will be pleased at first, then you will feel let down. Come on Nokia, what are you plating at - get your act together......... I am going to change the phone if I get the chance.........

This phone is possible the worst phone i have had, it constantly loses information ie ring tones screen savers and revets back to factory settings, this is the third replacement phone and its the same, Orange told me they are aware there is a fault and have offered me a free up grade, you might not be so lucky, again DONT BUY THIS PHONE

Hi all, my husband bought me a Nokia 6500 slide (black) from phones 4u in March (phone only, no contract) for my birthday. He paid £149.99. Overall, it is a good phone, easy to navigate and feels and looks expensive and stylish. However, sometimes the buttons stick and you have to press them a few times before they work. This causes problems when trying to answer it if it is ringing as if they stick, you can't answer and it continues to ring, then goes to answerphone. Also, the battery life isn't brilliant if you use it quite a lot you will find you have to charge it up frequently, probably daily. I used to have a Motorola V3i which had a much better battery and I only charged it about once a week compared to about once every three days with this one. Don't let this put you off though, it is a lovely looking phone and has all the usual Nokia useability features. The camera is 3.2 Megapixel and has a Carl Zeiss lens. (I don't know anything about how good Carl Zeiss lenses are but the pictures are really clear and look better when uploaded and viewed on you computer. Have read reviews before which say the reception/signal isn't very good thoughI visit rural areas frequently and I haven't had a problem with this. Hope this helps anyone making a decision.
